Anber Amazed by Training Methods of Boxers from Eastern Europe

Russ Anber, cutman for Oleksandr Usyk and ambassador for Ready To Fight, expressed his amazement at the training methods that continue to surprise him.

"There's no doubt about it. Whether it's Beterbiev, Usyk, or Lomachenko. All these people from the era of the Soviet bloc, the Soviet boxing system, training. The things they did, we never did in the West.

Our system was more conventional. Kind of old-school boxing. I think there's a lot that they do, especially when it comes to physical preparation. We've discussed this with Usyk.

When we can have a combination of the training from the old Soviet system, where these guys were trained, with the nuances and science of Western-style boxing that we've observed for 100 years in professional boxing, it will create an unbeatable force and elevate fighters to the best level.

Yes, there are many things I see in these camps that I've never seen before. And I've been in this sport for 45 years. I am amazed at some of the things they do," said Anber.

Previously, Russ discussed whether he considers Fury's weight loss and cut important factors ahead of the fight with Usyk.
