Zurdo Ramirez Gets Opponent and Fight Date

Mexican WBA and WBO world champion in the cruiserweight division Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez has finalized a deal to face undefeated Swedish contender Robin Safar, reports The Ring insider Mike Coppinger.

The fight will take place on January 16 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, USA.

The same event will also feature the rematch between Alexis Rocha and Raul Curiel. The card will be streamed live on DAZN.

Gilberto Ramirez (48-1, 30 KOs) last fought in June, scoring a unanimous-decision victory over Yuniel Dorticos.

On November 8, Robin Safar (19-0, 13 KOs) also won by unanimous decision, defeating Derrick Miller.
