“Be Ready”: Zurdo Calls Out Jai Opetaia

Mexican WBA and WBO Cruiserweight champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramírez (48-1, 30 KO) has named the man he wants after outpointing Yuniel Dorticos (27-3, 25 KO).

According to Zurdo, his next target is IBF belt-holder Jai Opetaia (28-0, 22 KO).

– My opponent was strong. I just did what I had to do—my job. That’s all.

– Next fight with Opetaia?

– Yes, that’s the fight I want. I’m the king.

– Your message for him?

– Make sure you’ve got my phone number and give me a call. And be ready.

Ramírez beat Dorticos by unanimous decision on the night of 29 June, while Opetaia scored a fifth-round knockout of Claudio Squeo on 8 June.
