Heavyweights, China's Zhilei Zhang (26-1-1, 21 KOs) and New Zealand's Joseph Parker (34-3, 23 KOs), have exchanged promises about their upcoming fight.
"Zhilei said he wants to knock me out. Zhilei, I'll knock you out.
Zhilei did a great job defeating Joyce twice. The boxer I was when I fought Joyce is not the fighter I am now.
Physically, mentally. I'm ready for the challenge. He's the favorite, and I'm the underdog, but I'll show what I'm capable of.
I have a great team that I fully trust and believe in. Thanks to Tyson Fury for introducing me to Andy Lee; he's a great coach.
When everything goes well in camp, when it's balanced, there's a good vibe, results, I feel dangerous," said Parker.
Zhilei responded by comparing himself to a tiger.
"I believe I will get the respect I deserve. Everyone saw what I did to Joyce.
Parker is young, hungry, he wants the belt. I'm a tiger, I've come to hunt. If you want to take food from my mouth – you'll pay for it," said Zhilei.
The showdown is scheduled for March 8 in Saudi Arabia, with the WBO interim heavyweight title on the line.
