In an interview with the YouTube channel Tike Myson, Oleksandr Zakhozhyi (19-0, 15 KOs), the EBU heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg), discussed his plans after defeating Granit Shala (15-1, 5 KOs).
- Your new camp starts on May 1st. Where will you be preparing, and what exactly are you preparing for?
- In the first stage, we want to focus on recovery, undergo various tests, and work more on things like balance and coordination. The first stage will start in Bavaria, near Munich. My manager handles these details, we just signed an agreement before this fight and started working together. I'm very pleased, so I don't even think about it now.
- So, you're starting this stage after recovery, after the fight, but you don't know which event you'll be preparing for after this stage?
- Yes. I've spoken with my manager. I told him I'm ready for a big fight. It will be on June 1st in Saudi Arabia, a big show. I told him that if there is an opportunity there, I'm ready to take the fight. So, we need to be prepared.
On April 13th, Alexander Zakhodnyi won by knockout against Granit Shala and claimed the EBU European champion title.
