Errol Spence Rejects the Underdog Tag Ahead of the Fight with Terence Crawford

Errol Spence, the reigning WBA, WBC, and IBF Welterweight Champion, is undeterred by the expectations that peg him as the underdog against WBO Champion Terence Crawford.

"I don't particularly concern myself with such assumptions. I'm confident that after this fight, I will be acknowledged as the world's top fighter. I'm a realist. I've faced numerous challenges and people are aware of that. I comprehend why Crawford is deemed the favorite. It's simple common sense. I'd call him the favorite too. But I'm not backing down, and I'm ready to defy the odds," Spence divulged.

He further commented that it doesn't surprise or discourage anyone that he may not return to his peak form following his accident and eye injury. Spence continues to tread his path with assurance, and negative remarks only fuel his drive for new achievements.

As a reminder, the highly anticipated bout between Errol Spence and Terence Crawford is slated for July 29. The showdown promises to be a thrilling encounter between two elite fighters.
