Official: Yabuki and Alvarado to fight on December 27

Japan’s IBF world champion in the light flyweight division (108 lbs), Masamichi Yabuki, will defend his title against Nicaragua’s Felix Alvarado.

The bout will take place on December 27 at the Aichi Sky Expo arena in Tokoname, Japan. Earlier reports suggested the fight was initially planned for November 22 in Mexico.

Masamichi Yabuki (18-4, 17 KOs) last fought in March, when he defeated Angel Ayala via 12th-round TKO.

Felix Alvarado (42-4, 35 KOs) last stepped into the ring in December 2024, scoring a majority decision victory over Tobias Reyes.
