"I'm here to reclaim my belts," says Oleksandr Gvozdyk about his big boxing comeback!

Former Ukrainian world champion, Oleksandr Gvozdyk (18-1, 14 KOs), is eager to recapture his titles in the light heavyweight division.

"Fighters sometimes lose, but we must never give up; we have to keep moving forward," Gvozdyk stated. "I took a long break from my career and explored other opportunities outside of boxing, but they didn't pan out. Now, I'm fully recovered and ready to move forward."

Regarding his loss to Beterbiev, Oleksandr views it as a learning experience. "I've drawn the necessary conclusions, gained new insights, and now I'm determined to win back my belts."

Oleksandr Gvozdyk made his return to the ring in February this year after a hiatus of more than three years. He secured a victory in a 6-round bout against Mexican fighter Josue Obando. Gvozdyk's upcoming match is slated for May 6th on the undercard of the Alvarez-Ryder fight in Mexico. His opponent will be Latvian boxer Ricards Bolotniks (19-6-1, 8 KOs).
