45-year-old Scottish boxer Willie Limond has passed away a few days after being hospitalized.
Early in the morning on April 6th, he was found unconscious in his car, likely having suffered a seizure a few hours before a scheduled open training session in Glasgow. Willie was then taken to the hospital in what doctors described as a critical condition. The last time the 45-year-old Limond (42-6, 13 KOs) fought was in the fall of 2023, when he lost by technical knockout in the 8th round to Ricky Burns. He was scheduled to fight Joe Laws on May 3rd.
