Wilder vs. Joshua on the Usyk – Fury Undercard?

British boxer Anthony Joshua has stated that his fight against American Deontay Wilder might still happen on the undercard of the Usyk and Fury bout:

"If there is a fight for the undisputed championship (Usyk vs. Fury), which has been on the horizon for a long time, there are rumors that the undercard should be big and lively – featuring me and Wilder.

In the meantime, we intend to be active this year. I set a goal of having 3 fights and potentially finishing a bout by the end of the year. I want to end this year on a high if God permits, and then move on to the next," Joshua told Sky Sports.

This option has been discussed multiple times with the current top four super heavyweights. Joshua and Wilder even met with organizers in Saudi Arabia, but no arrangement was reached.

Previously, Wilder's coach explained why the showdown against Joshua didn't materialize. Oleksandr Usyk also mentioned that the fight against Fury likely won't happen in December, thought it should be noted that the Fury camp has mentioned December 23 as a potential fight date.
