Wilder: «Sometimes You Need to Unleash the Killer»

American heavyweight (over 90.7 kg) Deontay Wilder (43-3-1, 42 KOs) commented on his upcoming fight against Chinese fighter Zhang Zhilei (26-2-1, 21 KOs).

«My inner fire? It’s stronger now. Sometimes you need to unleash the killer. That killer instinct is within you. Some people are afraid of the killer instinct because of what might happen to the other person. We can talk all we want about being back, but June 1 will show everything,» said Wilder.

Deontay Wilder and Zhang Zhilei will face off on June 1 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the 5 vs. 5 tournament between promotional companies Matchroom Boxing and Queensberry Promotions.

Wilder and Zhilei both lost their last fights to the same opponent – interim WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs).
