Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-3-1, 42 KOs) shared what the organizers of fights in Saudi Arabia, where he had his last bout and will have his next, want to see.
"The media said I was not good enough for boxing because I said I wanted to kill somebody.
But now you've brought in all these people, the Saudis, and they said: 'We want to bring this monster back, we want this killer, we want the man who talks like that.'
And when you have people who appreciate you for who you are, it makes you want to change quickly.
I have the green light to be that way, and I won't be judged. I can be like this and not be crucified. When I did it before, everyone crucified me, stabbed, and sliced," said Wilder.
In his last fight, Deontay lost to Joseph Parker by decision, boxing in Saudi Arabia. His next fight will also take place there on June 1st, facing Zhilei Zhang (26-2-1, 21 KOs).
