Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-3-1, 42 KOs) believes he can make a comeback after a series of defeats and once again contend for a world title.
"There was a time when all my love and passion for boxing died. When you lack that in something, it's not good. I had to adapt and regroup. My entire life I've been self-sacrificing, pleasing other people, making their lives wonderful, supporting and helping many with my own blood, sweat, and tears. As fighters, we earn our money with real blood, sweat, and tears. I've reached where I am now, and I know I've achieved greatness. Now, it's about me. I call this selfishness, and sometimes it's okay to be selfish. At this point, I need to regain that hunger and desire, to give people the Bronze Bomber they've missed. So, I must be selfish," said Wilder.
Deontay Wilder's next fight will be against Zhang Zhilei (26-2-1, 21 KOs) on June 1st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
