American former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-3-1, 42 KOs) commented on his upcoming bout with China's Zhang Zhilei (26-2-1, 21 KOs).
"I can only promise that you will no longer see the nice guy in me. Right now, I'm in a place where people want to see action. I promised local investors that there will never be a nice guy here again. I’m looking forward to the fight with Zhilei. When all the power of Alabama and all the power of China are in the ring, it means only one thing – one of us will be knocked out.
Why do fans love watching big guys fight? Because they want to see knockouts. Now it’s just between me and Zhilei – one of us will get the lights turned out," Wilder said.
Deontay Wilder and Zhang Zhilei will meet on June 1 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The bout will be part of the 5 vs 5 tournament between promotional companies Matchroom Boxing and Queensberry Promotions.
