Former Heavyweight World Champion Deontay Wilder has called out former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.
“Hey, baby. Francis, let’s do this. If you’re serious about what you’re saying, then I’m serious about what I’m saying — let’s settle this once and for all.
Your power against my power. Let’s test it, man. If you’re ready — I’m ready too. We can even go back to the motherland, to Africa!”, Wilder said on Ariel Helwani’s podcast.
In June, Deontay Wilder (44-4-1, 43 KOs) stopped Tyrell Herndon by seventh-round TKO. Before that, Wilder had lost four of his previous five bouts.
Francis Ngannou (0-2 in boxing) last fought in October 2024 under PFL rules, defeating Renan Ferreira inside the distance. In boxing, the Cameroonian has had two bouts — losing to Tyson Fury by split decision and by second-round KO to Anthony Joshua.
