Ukrainian middleweight boxer Sergey Derevyanchenko (15-5, 10 KOs) confidently returned after a loss to Jaime Munguia. On the undercard of the Haney-Garcia fight, Sergey outboxed American Vaughn Alexander (18-11-1, 11 KOs) by decision and explained why he couldn't knock out his opponent.
"I'm always happy with a win. I'm back and ready for the next challenges. I don't know when the next fight might be, but I'm ready for any opponent.
Alexander is a tough guy, he takes head shots well. To knock him out, I lacked the punching power of someone like Mike Tyson," said Sergey.
It is worth mentioning that before the fight, Derevyanchenko received an award for the fight of the year.
