The British former world champion, Amir Khan, shared his thoughts on who is easier to land a punch on – Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua. Khan discussed this in the context of Anthony's showdown against Francis Ngannou, considered one of the greatest knockout artists in UFC history.
"Joshua is a very smart fighter. It's still going to be a tough fight, so you have to understand that Ngannou has become more confident going into this bout. He believes he can knock Joshua out. Ngannou says that Joshua has a poor guard, so he'll come out trying to throw powerful bombs. If Ngannou lands, nobody knows what could happen. In the heavyweight division, one punch can change the course of the fight.
It's hard to land a clean punch on Tyson Fury. Many top fighters have tried to knock him out or shake him. I like Joshua, I think he's a great fighter, but I believe it's easier to hit him than it is Fury.
After the Ngannou vs. Fury fight, people think that boxers are weaker than MMA fighters. Joshua needs to prove to them that boxers are not weaker, that they are better and stronger," Khan said.
The Joshua vs. Ngannou fight is scheduled for March 8. Last year, Francis made his professional debut with a decision loss to Tyson Fury.
