"Where's the Check?" Paul Smith Doubts Garcia's Bet on Himself

British former boxer Paul Smith expresses skepticism about Ryan Garcia's claim that he bet on his own victory over WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney.

"I keep seeing claims that he bet $2 million on himself. Where's the check? Because if I bet £2 million on myself, you'd see my receipt, I guarantee that. Everyone should see it. Mayweather bets a million dollars to win $200,000, and he still posts the receipt. Where's Ryan's receipt? Everyone posts their wins; few post their losses, but if he did it, where's the proof?

If it's true, then good for him. Honestly, it doesn’t concern me. I'm not against it. But too many gullible people are saying, 'Ryan did this,' 'Ryan did that.' I've never seen him personally, so I can't tell you about him and how he feels. Even when I said he doesn't look good or he looks off, it's only an interpretation of what I've seen about him in the past.

Every time we've seen him lately, he might have seemed normal, but really, he could be just like a real kid," said Smith.
