Ukrainian super heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), who holds the WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF titles, shared his thoughts about the expectations for his upcoming match against WBC champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs):
"We will have an incredible battle. Both of us want this fight. It will be a significant bout.
I believe Fury was toying with his opponent. I don't think I'll have an easy fight in December. I will train at 200 percent.
But this is boxing. The most important thing is that I will step into the ring ready for the fight. I will be prepared for December 23. We have a contract," Usyk stated.
On the night of October 29, Tyson Fury defeated Francis Ngannou via a split decision of the judges.
