WBC Names Opponent for Serhii Bohachuk

The World Boxing Council (WBC) has announced the next potential opponent for Ukrainian fighter Serhii Bohachuk (24-2, 23 KOs).

Bohachuk is set to face the winner of the bout between Vergil Ortiz and Israil Madrimov, scheduled for February 22 in Saudi Arabia. The fight will determine the WBC interim champion.

Bohachuk has previously faced Ortiz, losing by decision despite knocking him down twice. A fight against Madrimov was originally planned for December 2024 but was canceled due to Madrimov falling ill. He was replaced by Ishmael Davis, whom Bohachuk defeated via stoppage.
