WBC Lifts Ryan Garcia’s Suspension. Boxer Reacts

WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán announced that welterweight boxer Ryan Garcia is no longer suspended by the World Boxing Council. He had previously been sanctioned for behavior during live streams in July 2024.

«The WBC Board of Governors voted to lift the ban on Ryan Garcia after a successful, documented process.

The WBC has been very close to Ryan, his family, management and promoter, and we believe a new life will begin for him — both in the ring and beyond», – said Sulaimán.

Ryan Garcia pledged to represent the WBC with honor:

«I am officially no longer under a WBC ban. I want to thank the WBC for recognizing my efforts to change and for making this decision.

I’m ready to win that green-and-gold belt and represent the organization like a true champion», – said Garcia.

Earlier it was reported that Ryan is the leading contender to face WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios.
