WBC Lines Up Heavyweight Eliminator!

The World Boxing Council (WBC) is rolling out the canvas for a heavyweight eliminator showdown, pitting Cuban powerhouse Frank Sanchez (24-0, 17 KOs) against Germany's own Agit Kabayel (24-0, 16 KOs).

The council's ringing in a round of voluntary talks between the fighters' camps, with Sanchez ranking as the WBC's number two contender and Kabayel not far behind at number four. Caught in the crosshairs is Joseph Parker, holding down the third spot and set to square off with Zhilei Zhang. Anthony Joshua is at the top of the heap, gearing up for a clash with Francis Ngannou on March 8, while Tyson Fury reigns supreme as the WBC champion.

Both Sanchez and Kabayel last danced in the ring on December 23, sharing the spotlight at a bash in Saudi Arabia. That night, Frank laid Junior Fa to rest in the 7th while Agit made quick work of Arslanbek Makhmudov, sending him packing in the 4th.
