Warren's Word: Usyk vs. Fury Announcement Just Around the Corner!

British fight promoter Frank Warren, in the corner of WBC heavyweight kingpin Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), dished the dirt on the current state of play for the much-anticipated title unification fight against Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs).

"The showdown is locked and loaded, and we're about to drop the big news real soon. Riyadh's gonna host the rumble. That's a done deal," Warren quipped to SecondsOut.

Warren also threw a jab at rival promoter Eddie Hearn's critique of Fury's chin: "If Hearn had his boxing wits about him, I might tip my hat to his chatter. But no, Fury's jaw is steelier than ever. He took a couple of hits from the division's dynamite hitter, Wilder, stood up and took care of business. It's the hallmark of a true heavyweight—Holmes had it, Ali had it. That's chin music for you."

Warren shrugged off a poll where 35% of fans voted for Fury to hang up his gloves: "Tyson's the man in the driver's seat, not the 65% or the 35%.

He calls his shots, no finger-pointing. If he fancied a curtain call, I'd back him to the hilt. But the man's not done, not by a long shot. The last bout was a fumble, sure, but the upcoming fight? It'll tell us if it was just a fluke."
