Queensberry Promotions CEO Frank Warren, who promotes IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois, has revealed where he would like to stage a potential rematch between his fighter and Oleksandr Usyk.
"I met with Daniel and his father, and we’re working on his next fight.
Hopefully, we’ll be able to announce something official soon. A fight with Usyk? I’d love to make that happen. It’s a great fight, a fantastic rematch with a real storyline. Two of the best heavyweights clashing—it would be incredible. If we can get it done, I’d be thrilled.
The fight Daniel wants is the rematch with Oleksandr.
Usyk vs. Daniel would be a massive fight that could sell out Wembley in a single day. If we can make it happen, that’s exactly where I’d want it.
I’d love to give my guy the advantage of fighting at home, and it would be a huge event," Warren said.
In their first encounter, Usyk stopped Dubois in the ninth round. Since then, Dubois has knocked out three consecutive opponents but was forced to withdraw from a fight against Joseph Parker due to illness.
