“An Agreement Has Been Reached.” Warren on the Usyk–Fury Trilogy

Head of Queensberry Promotions Frank Warren, who represents former unified heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, confirmed that talks for a trilogy against current WBC, WBO, WBA & IBO title-holder Oleksandr Usyk have indeed taken place.

— He’s mentioned it a little. The thing is, Tyson was in Turkey for a bout that James Dickens won. One way or another, a few calls were made—and an agreement was reached. That’s all I can tell you for now.

— An agreement was reached, yet for some reason you weren’t included in the process.

— I’m being kept on the sidelines—but of course I’m not really on the sidelines.

— But you, like everyone else, said Tyson had retired.

— Well, he was retired—until he said he was coming back.

— So this will be his return after a fifth retirement spell?

— Frank Sinatra retired many times. As I’ve said, it’s about how Tyson feels in the moment—and this is how he feels right now.

We’ll see how it plays out, but he wants to fight Usyk again. As I’ve noted, though, we’ve got the 19 July Wembley show with Daniel Dubois. I believe Daniel will beat Usyk.

Still, a fight between Tyson Fury and Usyk would be a good one.

— In Tyson’s brief Instagram post there were specifics: 18 April 2026 at Wembley Stadium—a trilogy. Is that happening, Frank?

— You know more than I do, Warren replied.

Fury announced his retirement after losing twice to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.
