The head of Queensberry Promotions, Frank Warren, shared who he considers to be the best boxer of 2025.
“It’s very difficult for me to answer this question. If you consider where he came from and what he’s done—it has to be Fabio. With no amateur experience, he is now a world champion on completely legitimate grounds.
He defeated a fighter who was second only to Usyk and entered that fight as a big favorite, so I think he had an extraordinary year,” Warren said.
In 2025, Fabio Wardley (20-0-1, 19 KOs) secured two stoppage victories. First, he knocked out Justis Huni in the 10th round, and then he stopped Joseph Parker in the 11th.
Following these performances, Wardley became the interim and later the full world champion. The victory over Parker earned him the interim title, and after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the belt, Wardley was elevated to full champion status.
