First Clause in Wardley–Miller Contract: VADA Drug Testing

British heavyweight Fabio Wardley has revealed that VADA testing was the very first clause he insisted on including in the contract for his upcoming fight against American Jarrell Miller.

We’ve got VADA testing. That was really important. For me, it was the f***ing first point in the contract.

He’s got a history, but he’s been through a few fights since then and tested clean.

If he beats me clean—no questions asked. I’ll shake his hand and say, ‘Well done, mate.’

But look, this sport is dangerous enough as it is without doping. Now imagine injecting something into a 130-kilogram man—that’s double the danger. We want to make sure everything’s transparent and under control. And this will be heavily monitored,” Wardley said.

Between 2018 and 2022, Jarrell Miller’s career was marred by failed drug tests, including a high-profile collapse of his scheduled fight against Anthony Joshua. He later failed another test and served nearly four years out of the ring under suspension.
