British heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley (17-0-1, 16 KOs) discussed the advantage Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) holds over his next opponent Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs). "Fury may tend to relax and feel comfortable during a fight. If he's moving at a comfortable pace, feeling that he's landing punches and boxing relatively well, he might just happily fall into a repetitive rhythm.
Someone like Usyk can recognize this and quickly snap out of it, change the pace, and alter the structure of the situation. He can completely change how the fight looks, showing sharpness, getting inspired, and acting differently.
They've both had questionable performances before. Who's the winner? I don't know. From the people I've talked to in the industry, many lean towards Usyk. Moreover, it's based on mentality. I think he's more focused on the task at hand, focused on the work, and more dedicated to his cause," said Wardley.
Fury and Usyk are set to meet on May 18 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
