Fabio Wardley (19-0-1, 18 KOs), the interim WBA heavyweight champion, has expressed interest in facing veteran British fighter Dereck Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) in what could be a fan-favorite domestic clash.
Chisora recently posted an image of himself alongside Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk, Daniel Dubois, and Joseph Parker, with the caption:
“Big 50th fight coming soon.”
Wardley responded with a short but clear message:
“WAR vs WAR… Call me.”
On June 7, Wardley scored a 10th-round knockout over Justis Huni, defending his interim title in front of a home crowd.
Chisora, who last fought in February, earned a unanimous decision win over Otto Wallin. He is currently the mandatory challenger for the IBF heavyweight title, now held by Daniel Dubois.
