"I Want Only the Biggest Fights." Anthony Cacace Vacates IBF Title

35-year-old Irish boxer, Anthony Cacace (23-1, 8 KOs), who holds the second-tier junior lightweight title, announced that he would vacate his IBF title. Cacace shared his decision on Instagram.

"Today, I’ve decided to vacate my IBF title. Becoming a world champion was truly a dream and an incredibly proud moment for me. However, at this stage of my career, I want only the biggest fights, regardless of the title on the line.

I am a professional boxer, and my goal is to secure a future for myself and my family, as well as to build my own legacy in boxing by participating in grand fights that will be remembered by fans. I look forward to announcing my next fight. Stay tuned for updates!" – Cacace wrote.

Cacace won the IBF title last May when he stopped Joe Cordina with a technical knockout in the 8th round. His most recent fight was in September, where he defeated Josh Warrington by unanimous decision.
