Walters Secures Third Consecutive Victory Against Adorno

On March 27, in Plant City, Florida, USA, former world featherweight champion Nicholas Walters (29-1-1, 22 KOs) engaged in a 10-round fight against American Joseph Adorno (18-4-2, 15 KOs). The battle concluded with Walters triumphing by unanimous decision, with scores of 98-91, 97-92, and 95-94, thereby earning the WBA Continental America title in the lightweight division.

In 2016, Nicholas faced defeat against Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs), choosing not to continue the fight after seven rounds. That loss remains the sole blemish in Walters' career. Subsequently, he announced his retirement from the sport.

However, the Jamaican fighter made a comeback in 2023, since then achieving victories exclusively - twice by unanimous decision and once by technical knockout in the second round.

For Joseph Adorno, this marks the third defeat in his last four fights.
