UFC and TKO Boxing Promotions president Dana White has announced that the inaugural Zuffa Boxing event will be headlined by a super welterweight bout between Ireland’s Callum Walsh and Mexico’s Carlos Ocampo.
The event will take place on 23 January in Las Vegas, USA, and will be broadcast by Paramount+.
Callum Walsh (15-0, 11 KOs) last fought in September against Fernando Vargas, winning by unanimous decision.
In October, Carlos Ocampo (38-3, 26 KOs) defeated Ricardo Cernas by third-round knockout.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian fighter Serhii Bohachuk could feature on the first Zuffa Boxing show.
Zuffa Boxing is a joint boxing promotion created by TKO and Sela. Its leadership includes Dana White; the head of the General Entertainment Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Turki Alalshikh; Sela CEO Dr. Rakan AlHarthy; and WWE president Nick Khan.
