The judges scored the fight 117-111, 115-113, 115-113 in favor of Ortiz after a hard-fought, high-paced battle.
This marks Madrimov’s second career loss, following his previous decision defeat to Terence Crawford. Meanwhile, for Ortiz, this was only the second time he has gone the distance—his previous 12-round fight was against Serhii Bohachuk.
