Former professional boxer Vanes Martirosyan has passed away at the age of 39 after a long illness, journalist Manuk Akopyan has reported.
According to Akopyan, Martirosyan died in Los Angeles following a two-year battle with skin cancer.
Martirosyan competed in 41 professional bouts, earning 36 wins, suffering 4 losses, and having 1 draw.
In 2018, he faced Gennadiy Golovkin, losing by knockout in the second round — a fight that marked the end of his career.
