Valdez and Wilson Make Weight Ahead of WBO Interim Title Clash

33-year-old Mexican Oscar Valdez (31-2, 23 KOs) and 28-year-old Australian Liam Wilson (13-2, 7 KOs) have completed the official weigh-in ceremony with the following results:

– Oscar Valdez weighed in at 58.83 kg

– Liam Wilson weighed in at 58.73 kg

The weight limit for the junior lightweight division is up to 58.9 kg.

The upcoming fight between Valdez and Wilson will determine the "interim" WBO junior lightweight champion. Currently, Emanuel Navarrete holds the full title, having defeated both Oscar and Liam. However, with the Mexican set to fight Denis Berinchyk for the lightweight title (up to 61.2 kg) in May, the belt will be declared vacant.

Valdez and Wilson are scheduled to meet in the ring on the night of March 29th to 30th in the USA.
