Usyk's Most Formidable Opponent Arrested in the US

Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs), considered the only fighter capable of defeating Oleksandr Usyk, was arrested in Los Angeles, according to TMZ. The American boxer was pulled over in Hollywood at approximately 1:15 a.m. local time after police officers noticed his Rolls-Royce's illegally tinted windows and concealed license plate.

Upon stopping the car, officers detected the odor of burning marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle, prompting a search. TMZ's sources report that the police discovered marijuana and a 9mm handgun, leading to the 37-year-old fighter's arrest and transport to the police station.

Media reports indicate that Wilder remained calm and interacted amicably with the police officers.

TMZ states that the boxer has been charged with possession of a concealed weapon. He was released from jail at 6:34 a.m., later posting a succinct tweet: "I'd rather be safe than sorry. The end."

Deontay's last fight took place in October of the previous year, when he achieved a stunning victory during a boxing event in New York (USA). In the Barclays Center arena in Brooklyn, the American boxer knocked out Finland's Robert Helenius (31-4, 20 KOs).
