Usyk vs. Itauma in 2025? Promoter Says the Fight Is Possible

British promoter and Queensberry Promotions head Frank Warren has revealed that a showdown between 20-year-old prospect Moses Itauma and 38-year-old unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk could potentially happen in 2025.

“His last fight was phenomenal. He wasn’t in the ring for long, but it’s not just about the knockout — it’s the way he did it.

He’s got fantastic boxing IQ, a great jab. He calculates his punches.

Especially with young fighters — when they sense trouble, they often just rush in and abandon their distance. Not him. He doesn’t rush. He measures his shots before letting them go.

What’s not to like? He’s an exciting fighter.”

Warren didn’t shy away from bold possibilities:

“I think he could fight for a world title this year. Who knows?

A fight with Usyk in 2025? It’s possible. We’ll have to see what unfolds. But Moses — in just one or two more fights — could be right there with the top guys. He can absolutely be among them.”

Moses Itauma recently learned the name of his next opponent, continuing his fast rise through the heavyweight ranks.
