Usyk Visits Ukrainian Soldiers Undergoing Rehabilitation

Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk paid a visit to Ukrainian soldiers currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Guard of Ukraine’s medical center.

The news was shared by former Ukrainian national team and Dynamo Kyiv footballer Vladyslav Vashchuk, who now serves in the National Guard.

“Recently, a special event took place at the medical center of the National Guard of Ukraine.

My friend — Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk — came to meet with the servicemen undergoing rehabilitation there.

He responded to my invitation to visit the soldiers — to support them, inspire them, and personally thank each one who has stood and continues to stand in defense of our country.

The presence of someone who has reached the very heights of sport, yet does not stand aside from the war, is a powerful testament for our warriors: their struggle matters, and support is close at hand. Meetings like this strengthen morale, give strength, and bring a true sense of unity.

His humanity and openness touched even the most reserved.

We spoke with the servicemen as they recover after combat. In each one — remarkable resilience and character. You could feel it in the questions they asked the champion and in the personal stories they shared.

There was much sincerity, even humor — despite the hardships they had endured. Oleksandr listened attentively, encouraged them, and shared his own life principles that help him achieve victory. He thanked them for their service and wished them a speedy recovery.
