Unified WBA, WBC, WBO & IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk shared his thoughts ahead of his clash with IBF title-holder Daniel Dubois.
“Hello, London. I’m happy to be back here. This is my night—I believe that. I believe in God and the Blessed Mother. I’ve prepared seriously for this fight. I am Ukrainian.
Every one of my bouts matters to me and to my team. Right now this fight is important for my country and for the warriors defending it. It’s motivation for my people, and that means a great deal to me,” Usyk said.
During the final press conference, Dubois’ promoter Frank Warren voiced confidence in his fighter’s victory, to which Usyk replied: “Don’t push the horses.” (an idiom meaning "don’t rush" — ed.)
