Usyk: “Thank You, Dubois, for Taking Care of My IBF Belt – Now I Want It Back”

Ukrainian heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs), who currently holds the WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO titles, has shared his reaction following the official announcement of his rematch against IBF titleholder Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs).

I thank God for the opportunity to fight once again for the undisputed championship.

Thank you, Daniel, for taking care of my IBF belt — now I want it back,” said Usyk.

The rematch between Usyk and Dubois is set for July 19 at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, UK.

On the line: the title of undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

Their first encounter, held in August 2023, ended with Usyk knocking out Dubois in the ninth round.

Since then, Usyk further cemented his legacy by defeating Tyson Fury by unanimous decision in their December rematch, while Dubois — after a canceled February defense against Joseph Parker due to illness — now finds himself with a chance at redemption on the biggest stage.
