In a comment for Seconds Out, the holder of the WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titles in the heavyweight division (over 90.7 kg) and co-founder of Ready To Fight, Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), mentioned that Vladimir Klitschko gave him advice regarding his upcoming fight against WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).
– Did you talk with Vladimir Klitschko? He also fought Fury. Maybe he gave some advice?
– Yes, we spoke with Vladimir. He gave me advice, but now it will be different.
Vladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury met in November 2015. The Briton won by unanimous decision. The boxers were supposed to meet in a rematch, but the second fight never happened – first, the Briton sustained an injury, and then he was caught doping.
The fight for the title of the absolute world champion in the heavyweight division between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will take place on May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
