WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight titleholder, Oleksandr Usyk, shared his training schedule ahead of his unification fight with WBC champion Tyson Fury.
"The start of training is at five in the morning. It's mostly cardio. At noon, is the second training session. If it's a pool, I swim at least two kilometers. The main training is at six in the evening. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday - sparring, on Saturday - cross country 10-20 km".
"Sunday is my day, which I devote to prayer and going to church, reading books, studying English or writing down some thoughts in a diary, making poetry."
On April 29th at Wembley Stadium in London, Fury and Usyk are scheduled to go head-to-head for the title of absolute world champion.
Usyk's promoter, Alex Krassyuk, expressed optimism regarding the swift finalization of the unification fight contract. However, the Ukrainian camp is insisting on an equal distribution of income, citing Usyk's ownership of three championship titles, while Tyson holds just one.
Meanwhile, John Fury, Tyson's father, believes that the fee distribution should favor his son with a 60 to 40 split. Frank Warren, the promoter, has stated that if negotiations for a unification bout between Usyk and Fury cannot be concluded promptly, he will explore other alternatives for his client.
