Usyk Responds to Claims About His "Weak Torso"

WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF heavyweight champion and co-founder of Ready To Fight, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), responded to claims that his torso is his weak spot.

- Many say that your weak spot is your torso. I've reviewed your fights and found only two instances where you had trouble after a body shot — both times in 2011, during your amateur career. What can you say to people who think you have a weak torso?

- If people like to think that way — fine. I don't know why they think this. I believe my torso is strong, Usyk stated.

In his last fight against Daniel Dubois, the British fighter landed a blow below the belt on Usyk. Usyk was forced to take a break as per the rules, and then he won by knockout. Dubois' team is confident that the hit was within the allowed area.

On May 18th, Oleksandr Usyk will fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship against Tyson Fury.
