Ukrainian heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs), who holds the WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO titles, shared his plans for life after his professional boxing career.
According to Usyk, he will play for the Ukrainian football team Polissya, based in Zhytomyr, Ukraine.
– When your boxing career is over, what will you do next?
– I want to play football. I’m already a professional footballer, and I have a contract with the Ukrainian team Polissya. This team competes in the Premier League.
We’re currently in fourth place, and we recently defeated Shakhtar. I’m very grateful to Polissya for the opportunity to play football.
