Can Joshua Avenge His Loss to Dubois? Usyk Shares His Thoughts

Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) has weighed in on the possibility of a rematch between Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) and IBF champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs).

Despite Dubois’ dominant victory in their first fight in September 2024, Usyk believes Joshua still has a chance to turn things around if a rematch happens.

"There’s always a chance. In the first fight, Daniel won, but this is sports—this is boxing.

I’m not a prophet, but if a rematch happens, it would be interesting to see another Joshua vs. Dubois fight," Usyk said.

In their September 21 showdown, Dubois knocked out Joshua in the fifth round, dropping him four times—once in rounds 1, 3, 4, and 5.
