Former world champion and Ready To Fight ambassador Amir Khan shared his thoughts on the achievements of the undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs).
"Usyk is the number one P4P in the world, 100 percent. Look at his achievements in this sport. He has been fighting at the highest level against top opponents for a long time. I have immense respect for him. They are completely different compared to us. They don’t have as much as we have here in Britain. But they train very hard. All they do is sleep, eat, and train.
It's a completely different mentality. They are stronger mentally; they are not like us. We have everything, we have luxurious conditions, we don't have the same worries and problems as they do. They have a completely different culture – 100 percent. Because they have to work hard for anything, while we do not. Nowadays, everything we need is in our phones; anything you want is at your fingertips. I respect this man. He had a tough childhood. Remember when he complained about his trainer at the press conferences? He went through a nine-month camp, which shows that he really wanted to win this fight," said Khan.
