Undisputed heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) has addressed Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois.
The Ukrainian recorded a video message for Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) and interim IBF champion Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs), whose bout is tentatively planned for September 21 at Wembley Stadium in London, UK.
"Hello everyone. Anthony and Daniel, I know the IBF belt is important to you. Let's call this my gift to you for September 21. Thank God for everything. Glory to Ukraine," said Usyk.
Additionally, Oleksandr wrote: "The IBF belt is my gift to you on 21.09.2024. The world loves the strong. Your friend, the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, Oleksandr Usyk."
A press conference is scheduled for June 26 with Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn and Turki Alalshikh, the head of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, where Joshua's next opponent will be announced. Daniel Dubois is the most likely contender.
On May 18, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) by split decision to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Usyk is the first undisputed champion in this division since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in their rematch on November 13, 1999.
