Former world champion and current boxing analyst Carl Froch shared his thoughts on the upcoming bout between former champion Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) and the IBF heavyweight titleholder Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs).
"This isn't criticism for the sake of it, but I believe the AJ vs. Dubois fight shouldn’t be for the IBF title. My stance remains unchanged because Usyk is the rightful world champion. And I'm convinced that when Usyk has his rematch with Fury, that fight should be for the undisputed championship," Froch stated.
The bout between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois is set for September 21 at Wembley Stadium in London, UK.
The rematch between WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) is scheduled for December 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
