At the final weigh-in ceremony before the fight between WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), it was announced that the Ukrainian weighed 105.9 kg (233 lbs).
It was later revealed that when Usyk was on the scales, a different weight was displayed – 223 lbs (101.2 kg), but Michael Buffer announced 233 lbs.
101.2 kg is still the heaviest weight of Usyk’s career. In previous fights, he weighed no more than 101.1 kg.
As a reminder, Fury weighed in at 118.8 kg.
Usyk and Fury will face off on May 18 in Saudi Arabia.
