Usyk became the WBO boxer of the year

Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO super heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk received another award.

Usyk was recognized as the WBO boxer of the year. The boxer received a special award during the annual conference held in Puerto Rico.

We will remind you that Usyk had only one fight this year. The Ukrainian successfully defended his titles, adding The Ring magazine belt to them, defeating the British Anthony Joshua on points.

Usyk's success in the WBC was also recognized. In October, the Ukrainian boxer received a special WBC belt - it is made in the colors of the flag of Ukraine.

Recently, the Oleksandr Usyk Foundation held a charity evening with a charity auction in the USA. The main lot of the auction was a sculpture of a boxing glove created by the famous Lithuanian sculptor Sigitas Sniras.

Usyk also became an ambassador of the UNITED24 program. One of the tasks of the Ukrainian boxer will be the "Recovery of Ukraine" direction.

As for the continuation of his boxing career, after the victory over Joshua, the Ukrainian challenged the WBC champion, Tyson Fury, to a fight. A face-to-face fight between Usyk and Tyson is possible in 2023 in Saudi Arabia.
